Bakuriani

Bakuriani is a small town located in the Borjomi municipality at an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level. The favorable climate, beautiful mountain sceneries, and clean air, filled with pine aromas contributed to the fact that the town has become a center of winter sports in Georgia. The town is suitable not only for ski lovers but also for those who want to spend a family holiday: here you will find excellent opportunities for ice skating, sledding, snowmobiling, and horseback riding. Bakuriani is also a very attractive place for trekking and hiking due to its diverse flora and fauna, as well as the location at the junction of two climatic zones. It is usually practiced here to climb the mountains of Kohtu (2155m) and Sekvelomta, as well as to have trips to the monastery of Timotesubani and Mitarbi natural springs. The town has a well-developed infrastructure with high-quality hotels, private houses, and pensions ensuring a comfortable stay. The climate is mild with snowy but not harsh winters, with an average temperature of -7 ° C.
