The Museum of the History of Georgian Sport was opened in 1965 in Tbilisi. The museum presents a whole era of development of Georgian sports, as well as the names of all athletes who won in the olympiads and international competitions.
The museum stores more than 6000 exhibits including documents, medals and cups, awards and letters, photographs, posters and everything that concerns to the history of Georgian sport.
Recently the museum was moved to the building of the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs on 26 May Square, 1.
