Kumisi Lake

Lake Kumisi is located in the east of Georgia, not far from Tbilisi. Kumisi is an artificial pond that is not suitable for beach holidays and swimming.

The pond is a great place for fishing and a perfect place to relax. In the lake, there are carp, temuruli, Chinese carp and other fish species.

The salt lake is formed by waters of the Algeti River, which flows through an artificial canal. The bottom of the lake is completely covered with therapeutic sulphide silt mud, which is used in balneological sanatoria. There are several popular clinics and health centres on the territory of the Kumisi, where the lake mud is used for procedures.
