Introduction

Weekend Tour to Georgia is a perfect way to spend a couple of days enjoying the warm-hearted atmosphere, exploring ancient temples and monasteries or tasting delicious national meals surrounded by friendly locals.

Day 1 - Arrival

Day 2 - Sighnaghi - Tsinandali - Telavi - Tbilisi

Kakheti - Sighnaghi

The tour starts with the visit to Kakheti – the picturesque region famous for the producing of excellent Georgian wines. We enjoy a romantic atmosphere of cosy Sighnaghi town. The architecture in the style of South Italian classicism gives the special and unique face to this cosy town. After the trip to Bodbe Monastery, which is the important site of pilgrimage, we have a stop is Tsinandali – the estate of famous Georgian writer and public figure Alexander Chavchavadze. The estate is surrounded by the amazing labyrinth park with exotic trees. Here we have a chance to explore the unique collection of Georgian and European wines. Tour continues to Telavi – the centre of Kakheti region, well-known for its delightful landscapes. Today's last stop is Batonis Tsikhe – the fortress museum of famous Georgian King Erekle II.

Day 3 - Mtskheta - Departure

Mtskheta - Svetitskhoveli - Jvari

Today we discover some of the most important sites of Mtskheta – a beautifully renovated town belonging to the 2nd half of the I millennium BC, the first capital of Georgia. Our first stop is Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – the main cathedral of Georgia and UNESCO world heritage object. Then trip leads us to Samtavro Monastery, where St. Nino lived and preached in the IV century. We end our weekend tour by exploring Jvari Monastery (VI century) and enjoying the stunning views of the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Departure.
