Day 1

  • Arrival at the airport, transfer  to the hotel

Day 2

  • City tour around Tbilisi – the bright and hospitable capital of Georgia
  • Excursion to the open-air Ethnographic Museum located not far from Turtle Lake. On its territory, traditional houses and farm buildings are exhibited, which are collected from all regions of Georgia.
  • Visit to the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi – the main cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church which is considered one of the largest religious buildings in the world.
  • Trip to the historical district of Metekhi, where you will see the Assumption Church located on the picturesque hill.
  • Stroll to the modern Bridge of Peace built over the River Kura. The unique architecture of the bridge was designed by Italian architect Michele De Lucchi. It is number one attraction for making memorable photos.
  • Cable car ride to the ancient Narikala Fortress located on a hill. The top of the hill offers a great view to the entire city.
  • Excursion to the sulfuric baths – royal bath complex (XVII-XIX cc.) standing on the natural sulfur springs. The baths have unique architecture and are considered the main attraction of the Old City.
  • Stroll around Shardeni Street – pedestrian street full of cozy cafes, art galleries, and boutiques
  • A trip to Mount Mtatsminda which is located in the city center and is a true symbol of Tbilisi.

Day 3

  • Drive to the north of Georgia by the Georgian Military Road.
  • Stop at Ananuri Fortress – a well-preserved castle on the shore of the Zhinvali reservoir. The former defensive fortress of the feudal era.
  • The tour continues to Gudauri town – a famous resort town located at the slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range.
  • After 5 minute drive, you will visit the sour waters of Vedza. The place offers picturesque views to the surroundings.
  • Visit to Urban-type settlement Stepantminda located directly at the foot of majestic Mount Kazbek.
  • Climb to the Gergeti Trinity Church located at an altitude of 2170 m. From the top of the hill opens the incredible and unforgettable view to the surroundings.
  • Ttip to Dariali Gorge located on the border between Russia and Georgia
  • Drive back to Tbilisi

Day 4

  • Drive to the south of Georgia to Javakheti region.
  • On the way, you will stop at Paravani Lake which is the biggest in the country. Near the lake you will visit the monastery of St. Nino. At the territory of the monastery, there is a small dairy managed by local nuns. Here you will find various unique kinds of cheeses that cannot be found anywhere else in Georgia.
  • Stop at feudal Khertvisi Fortress (X-century) for making memorable photos.
  • Excursion to Vardzia- cave town that dates back to XII-XIII centuries. You will explore unique caves carved out in the rock, which form the endless chain of passages and floors.
  • Trip to Akhaltsikhe town for an overnight

Day 5

  • Excursion to medieval Rabati Castle which dates back to the XIII-th century. Recently renovated Rabati Castle was reopened in Akhaltsikhe in August 2012 and now is the main attraction of the town.
  • Trip to Sapara Monastery hidden in the picturesque mountain forests and located about 11 km from Akhaltsikhe.
  • Stop in Borjomi – a beautiful town with amazing nature and healing fresh air. Here you will be able to try mineral water from the spring in the Mineral Water Park.
  • Drive to the west of Georgia to Kutaisi

Day 6

  • Tour to Bagrati Cathedral which is the magnificent sight of Kutaisi located on the Ukimerioni Hill. This majestic in size and proportions temple is the masterpiece of Georgian medieval architecture and is now under UNESCO protection.
  • Drive to Sataplia – the national reserve located in the amazing mountains
  • Excursion to Gelati Monastery – another important UNESCO object
  • Excursion continues to Motsameta Monastery located on a hill where, according to the legend, the Muslim invaders executed Georgian princes David and Konstantin Mkheidze who refused to be converted to Islam.
  • Return to Tbilisi

Day 7

  • Departure to the east of Georgia to Kakheti region. Kakheti is the picturesque region famous for the producing of excellent Georgian wines. Here the wine is produced by special local technologies.
  • Visit to Telavi town which is the center of Kakheti and is located in the beautiful Alazani Valley. Here you will see the oldest tree in the country – 900-year-old platan
  • Excursion to Batonis Tsikhe Fortress Museum – the ancient residence of Kakhetian kings
  • Tour around Tsinandali – the estate of famous Chavchavadze dynasty. The estate is known for its amazing labyrinth planted with exotic trees and for the cellars, where the unique collection of Georgian and European wine is preserved.
  • Stroll around the cozy town Sighnaghi – “the town of love”. It is famous for its architecture in the style of southern Italian classicism.
  • Return to Tbilisi

Day 8

  • Trip to Mtskheta – the ancient town founded in the V-the cent., the first capital of Georgia. It is an important place from the religious point of view.
  • Climb to Jvari Monastery – one of the most important and famous churches of Georgia. It towers over the ancient Mtskheta on the top of the hill and offers breathtaking views to the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers.
  • Excursion to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – the cathedral of the XI-th century, the first Christian church in Georgia and UNESCO object.
  • Drive to Gori – the heart of eastern Georgia and Stalin’s homeland. Visit to the museum of Stalin.
  • Return to Tbilisi
  • Farewell dinner at the traditional restaurant
