Day 1

  • Arrival at the airport, transfer to the hotel

Day 2

  • City tour around Tbilisi – bright and hospitable capital of Georgia
  • Trip to the historical district of Metekhi, where you will visit the Assumption Church located on the picturesque hill.
  • Visit to one of the most beautiful parks in Tbilisi – Rike Park. It begins at must-visit sight – the Bridge of Peace
  • You will go up the hill to the Narikala fortress by the cable car. From the top opens an amazing view of Tbilisi. An excellent place for making memorable photos!
  • A pleasant walk through Botanical Garden
  • Excursion to the sulfuric baths – famous bath complex (XVII-XIX cc.), standing on the natural sulfur springs.
  • Walking in Shardeni Street – a prestigious pedestrian street that was named after the famous French traveler Jean Chardin.
  • Tour to the Sioni Cathedral – one of the most famous monuments of the Old Town. It keeps an important relic of the Georgian Church – the Cross of St. Nino
  • Trip to Mtatsminda Mount by funicular

Day 3

  • Departure to Mtskheta – a beautifully renovated town belonging to the 2nd half of the I millennium BC, the first capital of Georgia.
  • Excursion to the Svetitskhoveli Temple – the Cathedral of XI century, the main cathedral of Georgia.
  • Climb to the monastery of Jvari located on  a hill. This area offers a breathtaking view of the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers.
  • Trip to Gori – the heart of eastern Georgia and Stalin’s homeland
  • Excursion to Uplistsikhe. This ancient cave town, carved in the rock, is one of the first towns in Georgia, and it dates back to the end of II the beginning of I millennium BC.
  • Return to Tbilisi
  • Free time for rest

Day 4

  • Excursion to the Ananuri fortress – a well-preserved castle on the shore of the Zhinvali reservoir, the former defensive fortress of the feudal era.
  • Stop in Gudauri, at Balcony, dedicated to the treaty of Georgiyevsk. Here you will enjoy the amazing views to the mountains.
  • After 5 minute drive, you will visit Sour waters of Vedza. The place offers you picturesque scenes.
  • Tour continues to Stepantsminda – an amazing settlement on the slopes of majestic Mount Kazbek
  • Here you will climb up the hill to the Trinity Church located at an altitude of 2170 m. From the top of the hill opens a beautiful view of the Terek Valley.

Day 5

  • Departure to Kakheti – the picturesque region, which is famous for the producing of excellent Georgian wines.
  • Visit to the center of Kakhetian region, Telavi
  • Excursion to Alaverdi Monastery  located at the foot of the Caucasus Mountains. It was founded by the Assyrian monk Joseph Alaverdeli in the VI century.
  • A trip to the village of Tsinandali, known for its estate belonging to the famous Georgian dynasty Chavchavadze. The estate is famous for its rich wine cellars.
  • Tour around amazing town of Sighnaghi – «the town of love»
  • The tour will continue to the medieval fortress. Those who wish will be able to climb the watchtower and enjoy the beautiful view of the Alazani Valley.

Day 6

  • Transfer to the Georgian-Armenian border, where, after passing through customs, you will go to Yerevan – the capital of Armenia.
  • On the way, you will visit the resort town of Dilijan, which is known for its lush scenery and delicious healthful, full of pine aroma air.
  • Stop at the azure Lake Sevan – the pearl of Armenian nature
  • Arrival at the hotel in Yerevan
  • Free time for rest

Day 7

  • Guided tour around Yerevan
  • Excursion to the Matenadaran Museum – the depository of ancient manuscripts
  • The tour will continue to the Cascade – one of the most famous sights of Yerevan. Cascade is a huge ladder, climbing the top of which you will see the observation area. It offers breathtaking views of Mount Ararat and Yerevan.
  • A trip to the Republic Square – the “heart” of Yerevan. The square was designed by the chief architect Armenia, Alexander Tamanyan.
  • Walk on the Northern Avenue, which is the most modern and luxurious avenue of the capital.
  • Excursion to the building of the Opera and Ballet Theatre after A. A. Spendiarova

Day 8

  • A trip to the town of Echmiadzin – the religious center of all Armenians. Here is located the residence of the Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
  • Guided tour to the Echmiadzin Cathedral, which was built in 301-302 and became the first official Christian church in the world. It is now included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. On the territory of the cathedral, you will see examples of unique Armenian khachkars.
  • Continuation of the tour to the temples of Gayane and Hripsime
  • Return to Yerevan
  • Visit to the souvenir fair Vernissage for buying colorful national souvenirs.

Day 9

  • A trip to the unique architectural creation of the XIII century – rocky monastery of Geghard
  • Continuation of the tour to the village of Garni, which is the only surviving example of the Hellenistic architecture of the Caucasus – the temple of Garni.

          Please note, that to enter Georgian orthodox churches ladies will need to have scarves for covering their heads (they can find some at the entrances). In some cases, ladies will be warned to wear skirts. Short trousers are forbidden in the church.
