Day 1

Day 2 

  • City tour around Tbilisi
  • The tour will start with a trip to the historical district of Metekhi where you will visit the Assumption Church and the monument to Vakhtang Gorgasali – the founder of Tbilisi.
  • Excursion to one of the most famous city’s landmarks – the Bridge of Peace designed by Italian architecture Michele De Lucchi.
  • The cable car will take you to Narikala Fortress – the ancient must-visit sight of Tbilisi located on a hill. That’s an excellent place for memorable photos!
  • The tour continues to the sulfuric baths – royal baths complex of XVII-XIX centuries, one of the most famous sights of the Old Town.
  • Stroll around Leselidze and Shardeni streets, where you will find souvenir boutiques and nice, cozy cafes for having a cup of coffee.
  • А pleasant walk through the Botanical Garden and visit to the amazing waterfall
  • Trip to Mtatsminda Mount by the cable car. From the top opens the picturesque view to the entire city.
  • In the evening, those who wish will have an opportunity to enjoy themselves at Tbilisi bathhouses and get relaxed for next day off road challenges (optional at extra charge).

Day 3 

  • This day will start your exciting jeep journey.
  • Trip to Paravani Lake with its spectacular scenery. The lake is the biggest in the country. Near the lake you will visit the monastery of St. Nino. At the territory of the monastery, there is a small dairy managed by local nuns. Here you will find various unique kinds of cheeses that cannot be found anywhere else in Georgia.
  • Visit to Vardzia – cave monastery complex that dates back to the XII century. Thousands of caves have been carved out in the rock and form the endless chain of passages and floors of caves.
  • Ride to Akhaltsikhe town
  • Visit to Rabati Fortress – the medieval structure in Akhaltsikhe which dates back to the XIII century. Recently renovated Rabati Castle was reopened in Akhaltsikhe in August 2012 and now is the main attraction of the town.

Day 4 

  • Drive to Borjomi – a beautiful town with amazing nature and healing fresh air. Here you will be able to try mineral waters from the spring in the Mineral Water Park.
  • Drive to Kutaisi, the center of the Imereti region.
  • Excursion to Bagrati Cathedral which is an impressive example of the medieval architecture (X- XI centuries) recently restored and standing tall above Kutaisi. The cathedral is under UNESCO protection.
  • Trip to Sataplia Natural Reserve known for its impressing Karst Caves and ancient Colchis woods of unique beauty.

Day 5

  • Drive to the Upper Svaneti region through Zugdidi town
  • Visit to Dadiani Palace in Zugdidi which  was once the family estate of Dadiani dynasty. The palace keeps 41 000 museum objects. Most of them are unique and invaluable examples of Georgian and foreign art.
  • Trip to amazing Svaneti region known for its highest settlements, beautiful mountains, and specific towers.
  • On the way, you will visit Enguri Dam –  the world’s second highest concrete arch dam.
  • Stop in Mestia – a small highland townlet
  • Excursion to Svaneti History & Ethnographic Museum, where you will get in touch with the well-preserved local history.

Day 6

  • Drive to Ushguli village – the highest settlement in Europe (2,200 m). Ushguli complex is a valuable architectural and historical monument listed in the World Heritage list of UNESCO for its exclusiveness.
  • On the way, you will stop at the “Tower of Love” and get to know very interesting love story, connected to this tower.
  • Visit to some isolated unique towers that are supposed to be the residence of Georgian Queen Tamar
  • The tour continues to Lamaria Church complex known for its impressive wall frescos (XII century). Here you will enjoy the picturesque view of Mt. Shkhara – the highest mountain in Georgia.
  • Move to Chazhashi – the small village known for its towers and the special layout. It is under the protection of UNESCO.
  • Drive back to Mestia

Day 7 

  • Ride from Mestia to Kutaisi town
  • In Kutaisi, you will visit Gelati Monastery the architecture of which symbolizes the flowering of medieval architecture in Georgia. Gelati is a vivid symbol of Georgia’s Golden Age and is another famous UNESCO object in the country.
  • The next stop – Motsameta Monastery (the church of the martyrs ) which offers the great view to the Tskhaltsitela River (Red River) and the surrounding gorges.

Day 8

  • Return from Kutaisi to Tbilisi
  • On the way, you will visit Uplistsikhe (“Fortress of God”). This ancient cave town, carved in the rock, is one of the first towns in Georgia, and it dates back to the end of II the beginning of I millennium BC.
  • Stop in beautiful Mtskheta town known as the religious center of Georgia.
  • Visit to Jvari Monastery located on the top of the hill. This area offers breathtaking views to the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers and the entire town.
  • The next excursion will be in Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – the cathedral of the XI century, one of the main cathedrals of Georgian Orthodox Church.
  • Return to Tbilisi
