 Day 2

  • Tbilisi city tour
  • The tour starts with the visit to the main Georgian Orthodox Church Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi
  • Trip to Metekhi district for visiting the Assumption Church
  • The tour continues to Rike Park where is located the most unique modern structure of Tbilisi- the Bridge of Peace
  • Short trip by cable car to Narikala Fortress
  • Visit to Jumah Mosque
  • Stop at the famous sulfur baths belonging to XVII-XIX centuries
  • Trip to Mtatsminda Mount by funicular. At the top you will visit Funicular restaurant – one of the most stylish and well-known in Tbilisi. It was visited by Fidel Castro, Margaret Thatcher, Alain Delon, and other distinguished guests. Here you will taste traditional Georgian dishes.

Day 3 

  • Trip to Mtskheta-the ancient town and first capital of Georgia.
  • Climb up the hill to Jvari Monastery (UNESCO object) from the top opens an amazing view to surroundings.
  • The next excursion will be in Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, the main cathedral of Georgia.
  • Visit to Giorgi Barisashvili Wine Cellar where you will get to know the traditions of wine making in Georgia. You will have wine tasting here.
  • Drive back to Tbilisi
  • Dinner at Tsiskvili restaurant offering authentic Georgian food. Here you’ll enjoy the fantastic atmosphere and traditional folk performances. The restaurant is designed in Georgian architectural style. Here you will have master class on making traditional dish khinkali (dumplings with meat).

Day 4

  • Drive to Samtskhe-Javakheti region.
  • Stop at Paravani Lake and for taking memorable The lake is the largest in the country.
  • Visit to Poka Monastery. Here, nuns are producing 16 types of unique cheese. You will have a chance to degustate the cheese and local handmade chocolate. Those who wish will be able to buy local mountain honey.
  • Drive to the village Chobareti and visit to Mzianeti cheese factory. Here you will have a master class of the preparation of Meskhetian khachapuri (national flat cake with cheese) and watch the process of making Meskhurian cheese – tenili (included in the UNESCO tentative list of an intangible heritage), you will as well participate in baking national bread shotis puri and sweet cake qada. The host will make an excursion for you and you will get acquainted with the old life style of Meskhetians in an old Oda-House, distinguished by its architecture.
  • Drive back to Tbilisi

Day 5 

  • The day will start with a trip to Kakheti – an old wine making region
  • Tour around Signagi – a cozy «town of love» known for its amazing architecture
  • Visit to Kvareli wine tunnels where you’ll see the old winery and will participate in master class on baking Georgian bread and making barbecue ( in Georgian «mchvadi») and traditional sweet-churchkhela (sweet candy prepared from grape juice and walnuts). Here you will as well taste wine made by unique Georgian technologies in Qvevri vessels.
  • The tour continues to Nekresi Monastery where you will see one of the oldest wine vessels and enjoy amazing views of Alazani Valley.
  • Drive to Telavi – the center of Kakheti region

Day 6

  • Visit to Alaverdi monastery built in the XIth The complex is also known for its millennial tradition of wine-making produced by the monks living there. Here you will be able to taste wine made by millennium technologies.
  • Drive to Napareuli village and visit to Twins Old Cellar. Here you will have а great opportunity to be involved in а culinary master class and cook traditional and local Kakhetian dishes.
  • Drive to Tbilisi.
  • Dinner at Georgian house-restaurant.

Day 7

  • Tour to Ethnography museum where you’ll get acquainted with the Georgian lifestyle and diverse architecture of Georgian regions.
  • Visit to Georgian flea market «Mshrali Khidi». Here you will find interesting national souvenirs.
  • Stroll around Shardeni street which is full of cozy cafes, galleries, and souvenir shops.
  • Dinner at vintage restaurant Purpur. Each floor of the restaurant are reminiscent of “grandma’s wardrobe”: colorful carpets, sofas with cushions, interesting furniture, old photos, bright tablecloths.

          Please note, that to enter Georgian orthodox churches ladies will need to have scarves for covering their heads (they can find some at the entrances). In some cases, ladies will be warned to wear skirts. Short trousers are forbidden in the church.
