Day 1

  • Check in at the hotel

 

Day 2

  • Morning drive to Mtskheta – one of the most ancient towns in Georgia, known as the religious center of the country.
  • Excursion to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – the first and the main church in Georgia.
  • Here you will go up the hill to the Jvari Monastery – the amazing symbol of the Georgian church architecture. According to the legend, at the site of the monastery St.Nino established one of her three crosses.
  • Drive back to Tbilisi
  • City tour around Tbilisi – the bright and hospitable capital of Georgia
  • Visit to the Armenian Church, Jewish Synagogue, and Turkish Mosque
  • Excursion from the sulfuric baths (famous royal bath complex (XVII-XIX cc.), standing on the warm natural sulfur springs) up to Narikala Fortress

Day 3

  • Trip to Ananuri Fortress which is a well-preserved castle of the feudal times. Once it was the main seat of Aragvi Eristavi Georgian dynasty. The fortress is located in a beautiful place close to Zhinvali Reservoir.
  • Stop in Gudauri resort town for a rest
  • Trip up the hill to Gergeti Trinity Church situated at an altitude of 2170 m at the foot of Mount Kazbek. The church was built in the XIV-th century and is the only cross-domed church in the historic Georgian province Khevi. From the top of the hill opens the incredibly beautiful scenery.

Day 4

  • Morning trip to Kakheti – the picturesque region famous for the producing of excellent Georgian wines.
  • Stop in the local town Signagi, it is a small cozy town overlooking Alazani Valley
  • Stroll through tiny and cozy streets of Signagi and enjoy an amazing view of Alazani Valley
  • Visit to the local winery and degustation of Georgian traditional wine
  • Trip to David-Gareja cave monastery complex founded in 6th century by father David

Day 5 

  • Transfer to Georgian-Azerbaijan border
  • Departure to Sheki town located in a picturesque mountainous area with narrow gorges and green valleys, clear rivers, waterfalls and mineral springs.
  • Sightseeing tour around Sheki during which you will visit the Upper Town, the magnificent Palace of Sheki Khans and other sites.
  • Visit to the Museum of carpets
  • Visit to Sheki Bazaar for buying gifts and products

Day 6

  • Tour around Qabala town which is an ancient capital of Caucasian Albania
  • Stop in the village of Chukhur Qabala
  • Tour around Gabala Archeology Center
  • Visit to natural sights of Gabala – Tufandag Mountain and Gabala Lake
  • Trip to Baku – the modern capital of Azerbaijan located on the shores of the Caspian Sea

Day 7

  • Tour around Baku Old City
  • Visit to the Upland Park of Baku where you can enjoy the panoramic view of the city and then to Kirov Park
  • Tour around the modern district of Baku
  • Stroll along Baku Boulevard – the second longest one in Europe
  • Excursion in the Carpet Museum where you will get acquainted with local carpets and rugs, various weaving techniques and materials used during different historical periods
  • The last tour destination – Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center. The center is located in a unique building which was awarded to Design of the Year prize in 2014.

Day 8

  • Tour around Gobustan National Park located at a distance of 40 miles from the center of Baku. It is a national and historical sight.
  • Excursion to the open-air museum to explore Rock Paintings
  • Visit to Gobustan Reserve to enjoy the view of the Mud Volcanoes
  • Return to Baku
